OurWatch is built on trust between watch owners and enthusiasts. These standards ensure a safe, respectful experience for everyone.


For Everyone

Be honest and accurate. Hosts should describe watch condition truthfully and upload clear, current photos. Clients should handle watches with the care they deserve.

Communicate promptly. Respond to messages within 24 hours. If plans change, notify the other party as soon as possible.

Respect deadlines. Return watches on time. If you need an extension, request it before the rental period ends.

Use the platform for disputes. If something goes wrong, use our dispute resolution process rather than handling it outside the platform.

For Hosts

  • List only watches you own and have the right to rent
  • Accurately describe the watch condition using our grading system
  • Upload clear photos from multiple angles showing actual condition
  • Disclose any known mechanical issues, service history, or modifications
  • Package watches securely for shipping using our guidelines
  • Respond to booking requests within 48 hours
  • Honor confirmed bookings unless an emergency arises

For Clients

  • Handle rented watches with reasonable care
  • Do not attempt to open, modify, or service the watch
  • Report any damage or issues immediately through the platform
  • Return watches on time and in the same condition as received
  • Follow the host's instructions for pickup/return procedures
  • Do not sublet or transfer the watch to anyone else
  • Keep the watch within the agreed geographic area

Prohibited Actions

The following will result in immediate account review and potential suspension:

  • Listing counterfeit or stolen watches
  • Providing false identity information during verification
  • Deliberately damaging a rented watch
  • Failing to return a watch (treated as theft)
  • Circumventing the platform to avoid fees or protections
  • Harassment, threats, or abusive communication
  • Creating multiple accounts to evade suspensions
  • Manipulating reviews or ratings

Enforcement

We take a graduated approach to enforcement:

  1. 1. Warning — First-time minor violations receive a written warning with specific guidance on the issue.
  2. 2. Temporary Suspension — Repeated violations or moderate offenses result in a temporary account suspension (7-30 days).
  3. 3. Permanent Ban — Serious violations (fraud, theft, safety threats) result in permanent account removal and potential legal action.

All enforcement decisions can be appealed through our support team.
